For years, Phoenix searched for a way to begin the era of the phoenix cats. Finally he found it - he found the way to become a phoenix cat himself. He called upon the ancient Light and immersed himself in it, at last fulfilling his destiny of becoming a phoenix cat. He and his mate, Rain, went on to found the phoenix cat Tribe of Arulamai, and the phoenix cats are now a thriving race.

But the phoenixes, who have come back into existance after millions of years of being extinct, despise the phoenix cats and their special powers, as do the Tribes of cats living in the forest where Arulamai makes its camp. War has broken out between these three species, and terrible times are ahead. Which phoenix and cat tribes will side with Arulamai and which will be against it?
